Lynn Norton Parker
n 1983, Lynn was working as an elementary school teacher. Many of her friends and relatives had asked her to design birth announcements, wedding programs and invitations. Lynn foud the requests for her artwork to be inspiring.
Her husband Steve, and sons, Zachary, Nicholas, Joshua and Jason, encouraged her in her artwork. Creative Calligraphy started on a kitchen table when Lynn placed an ad in Country Living magazine and the home-based mail order business rapidly expanded.
Lynn’s artistic talents come naturally. Her father, Paul Norton, was a well-known professional watercolorist and commercial artist. As a child Lynn was fascinated with her father’s artwork and spent many hours sketching cuddly animals and children at play. Lynn’s creativity was nurtured by her parents and older siblings.
Her warm, sweet personality is reflected in her drawings as she captures the feeling of the heartfelt verse in her pen and ink drawings. The joyful life experiences of being an elementary school teacher, of falling in love, getting married, and becoming a mother are reflected in her charming touch with flowered borders, chubby little teddy bears, and the cuddly bunnies that make her designs special.
Lynn continues to create designs that cause people to smile and reflect upon the things that have real meaning in our lives – our families and friendships. Her unmistakable style has been treasured by many for unique gift giving. Lynn’s designs can now be found in many of the finer gift and specialty stores throughout the United States and worldwide.
