As a northern Michigan native now residing in the Pacific Northwest, artist Greg Gorham's ability to recreate the natural beauty that surrounds him comes as no surprise. Whether painting lavish countrysides or narrowing in on still lifes, Greg's graceful style beautifully captures his natural surroundings.
More recently, Greg has turned his attention to international trends including gourmet foods, whimsical French chefs, wine labels, and Italian signs. Greg has also created a delightful interpretation of vintage soda bottles, travel posters, and antique playing cards.
Greg's unique understanding of emerging trends and styles contributes to his successful line of published prints available through Gango Editions. Greg's work also adapts to dimensional transformations in a variety of home decorative accessories, as well as ceramic dinnerware and kitchen textiles.
Greg's versatility as an artist gives him the unique ability to respond not only to trends, but also to specific project needs from various manufacturers and retailers. Greg's style continues to evolve alongside design trends, leaving him poised for a long, successful licensing career.
This last year has given me renewed energy, which I have infused into my newest works of art. Actually it was through looking back that enlightened a path forward for me. Isn't it wonderful the way something from the past, an idea or memory that is totally off your radar, can suddenly appear in your life. In my case that was a much overdue return to my home state, and a homecoming of sorts with family. Refreshed and ready to start on new paths I pulled from yesterday and todays simple little pleasures to inspire me, a cold soda, from a glass bottle, a chess piece, a deck of cards, a cup of coffee. I will continue to look for those everyday instances where art mixes with our life styles and daily routines, and interpret those images that help to shape our memories.
